I’ve turned off automatic updates on my Mac to ensure I don’t run into the same bullshit with the automatic iOS 26 update on the phone and I suggest you do the same.Keep the security updates toggle on, though.First time I’ve had to take such action in about two decades of owning a Mac.🤷♂️#apple #macOS #tahoe #liquidAss #trainWreck

@henrikmillinge Easier said than done. My daily driver was a Linux box for five years. I even contributed a bit to a distro. This was the last straw: https://ar.al/2024/06/23/fedora-has-been-shipping-with-a-broken-screen-reader-for-nine-years-but-the-real-problem-is-me/Phone-wise, I have a drawer full of Linux phones gathering dust.As I’m not made of money and don’t want to contribute more than I already have to landfills, I’ll be waiting till my current phone croaks before looking at alternatives.

@aral I have a work laptop updated, but I blocked it on my personal one. I cannot stop noticing how ugly and cluttered the work one became, abomination
