       Honestly it's probably that the patent on the bricks expired and now everyone in Chyna can build a product that's more-or-less just as good. It's not like our childhood, where the alternatives all felt cheap and unsatisfying to click together.The kids that grew up on lego or nothing are now making 400k in a tech job with no family to spend it on.

       @wizardmanperson Oh, yeah. You can get a young relative a no-brand bulldozer or robot or something set for like a dollar at Menards, if that's your game, and it's perfectly fine. Otherwise, you can find Chinese totally-not-copyright versions of everything imaginable on their websites.

       @AmericanChampion oh nice. Good options for the kids, since they're compatible with the ones that they have. Stopped getting them legos (duplo) because all their kits come with niggers and/or wahmen only

       @AmericanChampion @wizardmanperson the chingchong kits are preddy good, some are a tad tweaky, but the parts are neat to repurpose. Managed to get my youngest sprout a few remote control robot technic build sets for a song compared to lego Apple inc tier price gouging.
