ok one last poast about nuclear option because i have never seen anything like this.remember that the biggest nuclear weapon ever tested was the russian tzar bomba that theoretically could have yealded 50 megatons but they only detonated a half load of 25 megatons because they had no idea what the full load would have done.a mod for nuclear option shows the full 50 megatons, and its way more apocalyptic then i thought.just look at this shit.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JU_pEHpjS3M

@Some_German_Guy yeah, iirc they switched some uranium out for lead to minimize the fallout or something leading it to being a tad bit over 50 instead of the full theorized 100.

Perfect timing! A friend on Steam gifted me Ace Combat 7 for Christmas, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed so far. Everything just clicks—from the deep jet customization to the unique, varied campaign missions. My favorite part has to be the massive combined warfare operations; there’s something incredible about juggling land, sea, and air forces all at once.Since I'm enjoying AC7 so much, I’ve been hunting for my next arcade flight fix, so this post is perfectly timed. While Project Wingman and emulating the classic Ace Combat titles were already on my radar, this looks like another great addition to the list.Thank you for these game posts/recommendations by the way, as a result of your MENACE cutscene post I played the demo quite a bit and thoroughly enjoyed myself despite all the sheboon mercs. Furthermore I have added White Knuckle to my Steam wishlist solely based on your mentioning it. Danke Chef, für all deine Empfehlungen. :take_notes:

Ace Combat 7 is honestly a great entry point as far as I am concerned. The difficulty is extremely forgiving on normal and hard quickly becomes a breeze, though I absolutely recommend starting with "Expert Controls" as "Standard Controls" lack any depth which ends up hindering/restricting your movement.That being said I am no expert and would defer to Some_German_Guy because I haven't really touched the genre since playing Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader on my Gamecube.

@BlueEyeWhiteDragon @dictatordave @Some_German_Guy Ace Combat 7 has references to previous games, but they are not "required knowledge". Like how the Arsenal Bird and Stonehenge shows up, which are cool references to past games, but don't play that major a role.

It's a shame how DEI they made the squads especially coming off the chud aesthetics and feel of Battle Brothers. As for the difficulty there are some interesting loadouts you can use to leverage certain skills. For exmplae I used Jean Sy as a sniper then reduced her squad size down to the minimum amd had her pick off squads on the flanks trying to snowball her action economy, strongly recommended. Persoanlly I cannot wait to see what the devs do with the mechs and tanks!

This really does look incredible, hopefully they can actually deliver a dystopian version of ARMA-the appetitie for this type of game is definitely there.
