I'm hesitating. I want to install #guix #GuixSystem (I strongly prefer Guix to NixOS) but also #nutyx Debian :debian: and Void :void_linux:The main purpose of my system is to write (novel, note taking/zettlekasten, blog posts...), with Niri, waybar, wofi, using Ekphos in Wezterm.I don't want to can't spend too much time configuring. Arch :archlinux: and CachyOS :cachyos: or EndeavourOS :endeavouros: would probably be the simplest solution1.I need the system to be simple, and no risks to break at every update.1: Fedora is not in the distros I'm considering since they've made pro AI choices.

@hardtech I think depending on your needs on particular software stack your choice may be inclined .Did you have a list of expected packages without which your daily digital life is impossible? Some high level stas for packed software Nix 100k+Arch 50k+Debian 40k+Guix 29k+Some distros have a unique set of packages not available in others

@hardtech hi hi - I use and contribute to #guix. The main thing you said is "I can't spend too much time configuring". For me that means:1. If you have _previously_ used #Nix then #Guix would be fine. You get all the benefits of a declarative OS, package management and services. There will still be learning curve but not too much.2. If you haven't used either then go with a standard linux distribution for the basics (#Debian etc). Install #guix on top and then you can learn it without fear!
