@kilroy_was_here The Teflon isn’t sticky but the frying pan is really sticky.

@dadakopf @kilroy_was_here I was able to stick wooden tongue depressors to a sheet of virgin Teflon with mere Elmer's glue and several other adhesives. All I had to do is increase the surface energy of the Teflon by zapping it with a 50kV Tesla coil for a few minutes. Plasma works even better. @dadakopf @kilroy_was_here Pots and pans are usually sandblasted or etched first, then coated with a primer containing nasty, toxic forever perfluoro chemicals before powder coating with PTFE. Overheating the PTFE releases some of that, plus it makes hydrofluoric acid, which can kill birds at parts-per-billion levels in air. Bon appetit!
