@Largo @BionicNigga A female fedi denizen did an excellent writeup on this. @BarelyEagle has the screencap iirc and the bottom line was that you will never, ever be able to 'out-emotion' a woman as they are irrational children at their core. Losing frame control is actually what they are subconsciously provoking you to do. The more calculating ones attempt to escalate this into a man's natural endpoint of anger: physical violence. The solution is not giving them what they want but calmly telling them 'no', the way you would a child throwing a tantrum. This is why NEXT is such a powerful tool in a man's armamentarium, and you should be quick to cut losses when necessary.

I donât intentionally provoke anger, and despise conflict. I do shut down and run⊠(avoidant attachment thanks mom) and the man who didnât respond when I shut him down and went my way, neither getting angry or begging me to get back together, just concise and matter of factly said ok If thatâs what you want. If it does begin, it would be faster and advantageous to just agree. By agree, I don't mean give in but rather, just an the argument as fast as possible and move on. Done correctly, it's disarming.
