       Had a contentious discussion with mostly former housemate about whether it's okay to bust into a church service to complain about the pastor's day job.Turns out the answer is "it's okay if the protestors agree with MFH, and not okay if the church folks agree with MFH."He kept getting really close to realizing that, and then veering the conversation to someplace he thought was safer.Dude's an idiot and lacks empathy.

       @PNS Mostly former housemate.He lives with his socialist friends full time, but comes here to pick up mail and other stuff.  This is his legal address, and the new place doesn't have room for all his things.I still drive him to school because his unemployed friends are too busy.I told his mom I would look after him, so I'm doing my best.

       @tj MFH? You can't have freedom of religion and peaceable assembly if it is ok for a group to come onto your property and prevent you from assembling to practice your religion peacefully. At a bare minimum it is trespassing.

       @HiroProtagonist He is able to say with full conviction, that you have a full right to practice your religion in peace, and that if you don't practice your religion his way, you don't deserve peace.  And he doesn't see the contradiction there at all.

       @HiroProtagonist @tj Does this fall under freedom of speech in that the government is prohibited from interfering with assembly and worship, but not the people? Of course they’re subject to trespassing, disturbing the peace, whatever other laws.

       @radraccoon The first amendment is a restriction on government but it's protection from violation in society has been codified into law within certain limits. In this instance a lot of talk has centered around federal law, but I wouldn't be surprised if they violated state laws beyond mere trespass. @tj
