Good piece. As serious as the current situation over Greenland is, it also represents a genuine opportunity for Europe to decisively move towards real, independent security. That's not to say it's not a long path, but the time for hesitation over its necessity is now surely over.https://www.politico.eu/article/donald-trump-greenland-tariff-threats-tensions-push-europe-allies-toward-divorcing-america-transatlantic-power/

@jalager The first step to resolving the situation is to allow the esquimaux to _vote_, _officially_. Ideally, they will use that vote to increase their independence of denmark. Anything else, just shows the neo-colonialist spirit of the EU. Once the vote, for independence, is done and over, they will have a massive ethical protection. I told Trump that what he should have done, was not to threaten and work in the light, he should have staged a vote himself, bribing each esquimaux with 500k to 1 million USD to join the US, and once he had secured a favourable vote รก la Putin, _he_ would be much more likely to succeed, with a minimum of effort and threats. Trump did not listen to me, so what he has now is his own fault!
