Trolls should be ignored but anybody with this much power and a cult following can't be. Since I refuse to believe there are enough Americans who think he would be a good president, I have to believe it's something about our system that allowed this to happen and maintains it. Maybe lots of things. We need to figure that out and fix it.

@wjmaggos I think a lot of folks were like "he's an asshole, but things went pretty ok the first time." And even though he was already a petulant child, that does seem like a reasonable assessment. That said, his approval ratings are pretty bad these days: https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletinWhich is not to say that there aren't systematic things that should be changed. One of those is that the courts are way overburdened. If Trump cases had gone through more quickly might not have run, or been primaried

@wjmaggos another thing ive long thought would be good is to require any elected president to first be elected governor of a state. I wouldn't change the line of succession at all but if someone wants to run the country like a business, let them try it out on a state first. As an additional benefit, it pulls some of the power out of DC and back to the states. Not that all governors were great presidents and visa versa but at least let's see how people do the job first.
