What would you do if you were 12 and someone gave you a Linux computer with docker and wireguard configured so anything on port 8080 is accessible on a web domain with https, and a preconfigured file server in docker compose.I think it's a really cool playground. This was never so easy to make. I remember deploying my website over ftpI also expect to quickly see some memes or warez on it but idk if today's kids even know how to write html

@piggosounds like a slightly better version of the 2000s' free web hosting providersI'd probably try to set up a C&C for a virus (and then try to write a virus) and fail while having fun

@piggo I would probably cry because of the unnecessary complexity containers introduce for this use-case.

@buherator the idea was that they can easily experiment with stuff without trashing the host system. With docker compose the learning curve to get something basic going is very low

so unfortunately I got the wireguard link connected just once and now it isn't reaching the server on that UDP port. I would suspect foul play from some firewall, but then it shouldn't work the first time, either. The only change we did was replacing the CMOS battery (and bios settings resetting, but I doubt that can have anything to do with this)

@cpsdqs but that's the point of a website. anyway the wireguard tunnel isn't working for unknown reasons, so they have an online Linux computer with docker installed. That's also cool
