       @KiKi88 so...when you get physically dependent on it...the "depressant" effects of the alcohol wear off and parts of your brain turn back on suddenly which overwhelms it and can cause hallucinations/seizures...for normal people...if you are already crazy...then yeah just drinking can mess with you...

       There ya go. I've heard that one. I watched a really good black and white movie called The Lost Weekend about an alcoholic writer that ends up in rehab and sees birds and rats coming out of the wall.

       I heard it was a must watch in film school and it popped up on my feed. Well before my time but I watched it being tired of all the shitty modern movies. Great movie. You can tell the makers of the film really went through it themselves. He played the shit out of the role.

       @KiKi88 i categorize F Scott Fitzgerald as a literary impressionist (only really writing about physical experiences he was familiar with)...he was definitely insane...in one of his books he describes how the main character ran into the devil while drinking whom he recognized by his cloven hooves...
