CTodayNewCarolyn BurjoskiOrganizerDear Friends and Supporters,Four years ago today, I was kicked out of a school board meeting, removed from my classroom, and accused of transphobia—all for raising concerns about a children's library book. I launched a defamation lawsuit against the Waterloo Region District School Board, not knowing how long or difficult the road ahead would be.Today, I can finally share this news: the lawsuit has been settled.Together, we achieved two court victories—at the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Our Anti-SLAPP victory now stands as a legal precedent that will protect other Canadians who speak out on matters of public concern. This outcome would not have been possible without you.$145,829 raised. Hundreds of donors. Four years of support. You believed in this case when others dismissed it. You contributed what you could, sometimes $10, sometimes much more, because you understood what was at stake. You sent messages of encouragement when the fight felt endless. You made this victory possible.I have now suspended donations to this campaign. Your generosity has carried this case to its conclusion. In my next and final update, I will provide a full accounting of funds raised, legal expenses paid, and the remaining balance. Any surplus funds will be donated to a charitable organization that supports free speech in Canada. But today, I want to share something else: the message I was silenced for trying to deliver.I have recorded a video completing the presentation that I was prevented from finishing four years ago. In it, I lay out what I was seeing in schools, the medical evidence that has emerged since, and why I believe our public school system is complicit in what may be one of the most serious medical scandals in modern history.Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/mu-QVUApGFIRead the full article with sources: https://cancelledteacher.com/2026/01/17/four-years-later-i-can-finally-finish-my-speechPlease watch. Please share. The more people who see this, the harder it becomes to ignore these questions. This chapter of the legal battle is now closed. But the larger fight to protect Canada's children continues, and thanks to you, I am still standing, still speaking, and still in the fight. From the bottom of my heart: thank you for standing with me.With deep gratitude,Carolyn BurjoskiRT: https://spinster.xyz/objects/d0d3fd64-b3cd-43f1-8e0d-8d9043749581

@Sherri_Ingrey Sherri, am I wrong or did you at one point work in constitutional law? If so, what would the potential impact of this be? Would it set precedent country-wide or only in Ontario?

@Fullycaffeinated omg NEVER. There are maybe three constitutional lawyers outside the JCCF in ALL of Canada. One just died (Chris Black) and Rocco Galati has been very ill. It's VERY specialized work and a long time before it's profitable. My ballywick was family, a bit of criminal, and labour law. I was a lawyer for women and proles.

@Sherri_Ingrey Really? That seems too few for a country this size. No wonder we don't have many constitutional challenges. So seeing how this case was more about employment law than constitutional law, would the precedent only affect Ontario? Or could it be cited as precedent elsewhere? I am very pleased she 'won', but I don't know what the overall impact is.

@Fullycaffeinated It was a tribunal hearing so not really a precedent. The UK decision SHOULD be influential.
