@judgedread If we win the technical information warfare battle decisively enough to defeat the jews, we should be in a good position to prevent censorship by future regimes.God willing, this will give us breathing room to figure out what is actually going on in the Universe without serious hassle.

@Countermeasures To ban ideas you must ban general purpose computing machines, the metamedia devices capable of routing around any obstacle.This also applies to porn. Puritans, deal with it.

@judgedread @Countermeasures It's true porn can never be eradicated, especially in the digital age. That must be accepted even by the most devote of people. Still, I liken it to drugs. You will never eradicate drugs from a society. At the same time, we've seen what happens to a society legalizes or de facto legalized drug use. Once upon a time I was for legalizing pot. After escaping California, after seeing Portland and San Francisco, I've changed my mind. This despite having multiple family members being users and knowing people that went to prison for drugs (in part). As for free speech, there is never really free speech. There are always blasphemy laws, always. It's just a matter of whose laws and how they're enforced. If you don't impose your blasphemy laws, others will impose their blasphemy laws upon you. We've seen the left/Team A's blasphemy laws. I'd be willing to give the other side a shot at it, at least for a while.

@Charles_in_Charge I'm saying that general purpose computing machines are going to make all censorship impossible. What moveable type was to the Reformation computers are to the end of centralization. Every loathed one size fits all church and government is going to be skeletonized, the bones ground up and the dust pissed on.
