I wonder how hard is it to set up your own repository and maintain xorg updates with a single patch for one or a few distros.Of course it needs to use xorg sources from distro repositories. Not from the upstream source code.

@yura it's piss take in gentoo or nixos. Won't even need a separate repo, just add the patch to your system config.

I basically need to periodically check for updates, grab updated sources, aply only one patch, compile just as original package is compiled and publish it.Probably. I've never done anything like that.And of course receive the notification if the patch isn't applied properly or code doesn't work. And cry because I'm not a programmer and likely not be able to fix it with my paws.

@yura In NixOS it's pretty easy. Literally couple of lines in .nix file.
