Rumoredly, YouTube is getting rid of custom ".ytt" subtitles from their website. Here's a quick shell script if you need to archive them in a few formats for all languages:#!/bin/shfor i in vtt ttml srv3 json3; do yt-dlp --write-subs --all-subs --sub-format "$i" --skip-download "$1"done

@asie so they're getting rid of some of the formats that allow using different colors and screen positions for different speakers?Do we know if all of the formats with those capabilities are being removed?

@wolf480pl@mstdn.io I don't know anything more than that post, and am too busy testing the limits of YouTube's rate limiter to find out

@asie Since the naive solution with a loop isn't very fast and gets me ratelimited quickly if I don't add even more delays, I wrote this: https://git.stary.pc.pl/Grzesiek11/ytsubarchiveIt's a bit less naive, takes 4x less time. No docs right now, but will add later.
