       @bellule @MAKS23 Yes, reading that article, it's clear that Guido Crosetto said he has never believed Ukraine could “win” the war militarily. He framed this not negatively, but realistically. Thank you for posting the link to the article.If we want Ukraine to actually win this war militarily, we need to give them even more support. I think the biggest hope is to fold the Kremlin regime through kinetic sanctions on Putin's home front. And the Ukrainians are well on their way on that front.

       @VikingChieftain @MAKS23 The problem is that it seems that the European motto is ‘too little, too late’.Almost four years after Russia began its large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian president is still reminding us (Europeans) that anti-aircraft batteries cannot protect civilians because they are running out of ammunition.

       @bellule @MAKS23 I hear you. One thing is clear... Europe and the remaining democratic countries must ramp up production of air defence hardware and fill the gaps left by the US's gradual withdrawal from NATO under Trump. Of course, there are other areas where they need to fill the gaps as well. E.g. nuclear deterrence.

       They'll need to produce something like 20 S300/Patriot-class missiles per day, starting tomorrow, reams of smaller ones, and one or two very long range missiles per day, just to catch up to some semblance of a reasonable air defense system within a year.And about 100 small FPV drones, 10 Lancet-class drones, and a couple Guran-class donres.
