Its a good concept.Might get some younger readers involved in the classics.I read a "great illustrated classic" of the Wizard of Oz and it convinced me to read the original.Much better than the movie at least.

@Hyperhidrosis to use a movie allegory: this is like taking a movie and producing a new cut, new camera work, new lighting, new voice, new soundtrack, new color grading, changing every aspect of how the movie expressed itself and what it evoked because some people found it too hard to understand or follow or they simply didn't like its direction. if the purpose here was journalism (like shooting a documentary) then it would make sense to perform such changes so that everyone has access and can follow along, but doing that to a movie merely replaces the vision of the author with a sterile a report. To clarify, I'm not defending Fitzgerald, I'm arguing that the way something is written is part of the work. Remove that, and all you have left is a soulless transcription.
