       Phone is showing SOS only as part of the Verizon Wireless outage.Can't sign into my account because their 2FA requires a text verification and they've no alternatives.Text 2FA has always been dumb.

       @mlawton omg I was just talking to people about passkey vs sms vs email for 2FA today. SMS isn't secure but this aspect didn't even come up. Glad I saw this

       @ThaMunsta yeah, there is always that classic tension between security and usability. I think companies think it's easy and their users can't really screw it up. But security suffers.And while uptime for cellular providers is extremely high, nobody bats 1.000
