       Both KDE and GNOME provide a user experience that's so vastly superior to Windows and macOS that the tech media doesn't know what to do or say anymore. They're still holding on to their stale, early 2000s narratives about desktop Linux, incapable of adjusting their preconceived notions to the reality of today.The reality that both Windows and macOS have become unusable trashfires while KDE and GNOME left them in the dust years ago and continue to improve by leaps and bounds every year just does not compute for these people.
