It's probably really petty, but does anyone else dislike the word "experience" in context of things like theme parks, art galleries etc? I hear people use it all the time and I'm really miffed about it for some reason. You no longer go to a restaurant, an arcade or to a haunted house, you're going to the ✨ experience ✨. I'm not even sure why I feel so strongly about it. Maybe because it's like an equivalent of the word "content" for the irl things?

@spook I also hate it, and the reason why I hate it is that it's part of the never-ending tendency of hyping things up into the stratosphere for marketing purposes. Nothing can be described in reasonable terms anymore, every single thing is made it sound as if it were a once-in-a-lifetime thing that will blow your mind. Even when you only wanted a decent dinner or a good time with friends, two precious things on their own.
