       I will never build another computer with an AIO liquid cooler. ANOTHER one died on me last week. Second in the last few years.When an AIO dies, you are dead in the water. The computer won't run for 5 minutes.I replaced it with a $35 tower cooler that can handle 200 watts. If the fan on the tower cooler fails, it's a cheap fix. And it'll still mostly work with the airflow in your system.FUCK AIO Coolers. Total Air Cooler supremacy! I am so done.

       @RichardJohnson Yeah, most you have to do for air is replace the thermal paste every few years. AIO's are pretty cool, but air cooler tech has come a long way and the good options, that are under $50, are within 3c of the best AIO. Unless you're going for OC or 100% workload, the benefits don't really make sense.

       @RichardJohnson stop buying the cheapest AIO you can find, mines outlasted 2 processors

       @sapphire They were certainly not the cheapest I could find. But they were both from EVGA, who made great GPUs, but maybe not other things.Both of them cost me more than $100, and did not have any RGB.

       @RichardJohnson I’ve bought two, both from Corsair. One is still alive and I sold the other one after 5 years in perfect condition. They’re strictly unnecessary unless you want to overclock (I don’t) or you want a quiet PC (I do)

       @sapphire Yea, I really wanted a quiet PC.But also I overclocked.

       @RichardJohnson also of note the little dinky 1 fan ones aren’t worth it unless youre using it on an i3, 2 fan min, probably 3 for your use case

       I had an NZXT before but switched to Corsair for my AIO and I've been pretty pleased with it. It doesn't have a screen unfortunately but it's pretty enough and keeps the temperatures within reasonable limits.

       Never touched liquid cooling in my life and don't intend to, the joke is I remember seeing a youtuber have an absolute disaster with some $2000 build he had. That immediately convinced me to stay away, it's not even really worth it anyway although I'm sure liquid cooling nerds might come along and try to debate me on that.I just think for the average person liquid cooling is completely pointless, also requires quite a lot of maintenance and knowledge.

       @lethn I have no regrets on the $40 dual tower air cooler I replaced it with.The best part is, it literally can't fail. One of the two fans could fail, which would be a cheap fix, but my computer would still run in the mean time. Unlike an AIO with a failed pump, where your computer won't run at all.
