       Wait why does the #MLB have a minor league, but not the #NFL?

       @realcaseyrollins College football is the minor league. And you could argue the Canadian Football League and other leagues are as well.

       @realcaseyrollins If I had to guess I would think that the average MLB player needs to see more professional pitching and develop his career further by repetition vs the injuries endured by the average NFL player. MLB careers are typically longer and start later than NFL careers. In baseball you spend 98% of the game standing around or sitting in the dugout. Whereas in football you spend half the game smashing into one another, unless you’re the kicker. They have to all week practice too

       @elston_ Then wouldn't #CollegeBaseball be the #MLB's minor leagues?

       @realcaseyrollins College baseball plays a role in MLB development but is less dominant than college football is for the NFL. Players generally take longer to reach and succeed in MLB compared to the NFL due to the sport's technical demands, injury risks, & draft structures.Baseball's draft allows earlier entry. High school phenoms (e.g., Bryce Harper) can skip college entirely and start in low-level minors. MiLB is where real development happens for almost everyone, regardless of background.
