NOW SHOWING: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth DimensionSo what if you were a rocket scientist but also a brain surgeon but also a musician but also a ninja but also a competition shooter but also a particle physicist and you had to help Rastafarian aliens fight space Nazis because if you don’t then the Soviets will nuke the world? Well you’d probably be Dr. Buckaroo Banzai, PhD., and this would be your movie. Let’s dive into the wacky bag of unexplored good ideas as we review the 1984 cult classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension.Direct Download: https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/thegodcast/Popcorn_a...Check out these awesome websites:https://exodusamericanus.wordpress.com/2026/01/11/popc...https://amerikaner.org/popcorn-n-soda-the-adventures-o...

@Godcast As a venerable old fart by the standards of this thing, I was curious to see what the young'uns would think of this. It was a nice surprise to see our opinions mostly overlapping: soooo much wasted potential. While TAoBB:At8thD was clearly an attempt to get some of that Star Wars magic to rub off on the studio's bank account, I think there's also a connection to Raiders of the Lost Ark. Buckaroo is that hypothetical ADHD kid's idea of a pulp hero for the 80s. He's very much a man of his time, which is why I don't believe a modern remake could ever capture the zany spirit of this flick. Thanks for making it all the way through.
