@Decayable sandbox settings wise, can you set the skill journal to keep passive skill XP if you didn't already? I think we're probably gonna be dying a lot and daily exercise is tedious as fuck.Also just a heads up, I think your safehouse might let hordes spawn inside it. Forgot to mention last night but anywhere not counted as a building (which I assume that overlaps with where safehouse restrictions end) so your book area might allow spawns in your base if someone's ~75 tiles away when a horde starts.

Swapped passive skill, the rest follow the general skill recovery percentage. I'll add a separate wall to my base itself and make that little common area fully blocked off. If they get in, it's fine since we can run to the second level and take pot shots. I'll probably start moving the crates and stockpile ammo to increase my reload and aim skills on horde nights. Also in your professional opinion, how many pounds of human flesh do you think can be harvested from corpses? 3-4 little slices seems low for harvesting and looking online auto searches beef instead and probably put me on a list.

Nah spawning's very different in zomboid, light doesn't matter but distance from player does. Normal respawns are like x0.1 gradually in cells that aren't active if the area's not sealed off. I turn that shit off for my solo game because I want it to feel like I'm clearing areas.Hordes complicate that by spawning 100+ sprinters ~75 tiles away from each player anywhere that isn't marked as a building whether sealed off or not. Even bridges outside of buildings can spawn them and let them run straight into your base and smash your shit up/eat your ass. I had a surprise horde while I was chopping trees and ran back to base, zombies were spawning on the (inaccessible without climbing) wall behind me at the gates. It's an issue, especially if you don't plan for it early, so we've just been using a nearby area as an arena instead.

o7, I can't remember if you did double fences (each end of the crates) but you can use anything that acts as a fence. I've done a wall with 2 wall frames (gonna turn them into windows at some point), crate inbetween, floor ontop (don't do this anywhere outside of a building if you don't want horde spawns) and a bunch of ladders because climb isn't very reliable.A lot more than 3-4 slabs of taint meat fo sho, maybe ~10 to limit how much ritual sacrifice we need to survive winters? I already sent my dox to terrorists in federal prisons, fuck their lists 😤.

It definitely helps, ingame chat is sketchy at best. Local is range limited and if you close the box to decrease how much the UI covers it won't tell you when people message. Plus it's a lot funnier because we're all shitfaced for the weekly game nights.

Did you activate the mods? They should help survival a fuck ton tbh. Sandbox settings also help. Me and Doll practiced with the insurgents mod at first (I still haven't touched the tutorial lol), for a much easier start.

It's a server thing if you're playing on the server, but your solo game needs you to go into the mods tab on the main menu and click through it all. There are some branching (and conflicting) mods in there so you can't just click through the whole thing, and then extra sandbox settings to personalize how you want to play.
