Can someone give me rundown of nostr privacy and general traceability to a specific person or geographic location? I've been having an ongoing conversation with a friend who got into bitcoin about the middle of last year and I told him about nostr. He asked me questions I didn't have answers to because, while I should know, I never bothered to really find out.Since I'm not all that tech savvy I thought it made the most sense to reach out to those of you who are.

Unless you gave up specific information to a client, the only thing anyone can identify you by, is your IP address, but how they would link an IP address to your account, no clue, if they even could. Use a VPN for that warm and cozy feeling, I’ve been using one since Cheeto Hitler retook office.IMHO, Nostr was created to be censor resistant first, privacy second.
