       @mcr314 I believe public transit should be free at the point of use and that any security research making fare evasion or ticket fraud more difficult is inherently morally unethical. If I found something like this, I would have replicated the method of creating fraudulent tickets and made it available to everyone for free. Or just kept my mouth shut.

       @fisk The two presented ways were:- buying deutschland-tickets with invalid banking details- somehow get access to the private signing key of a companyNothing legal or easy.I agree, that public transport should be cheaper.But the financial damage is paid by a big part by  the tax payer. So I dont have sympathy with these fraudsters.

       @Tobiwan that is in fact the exact political position I already said I support - public transit should be free at the point of use because taxes already pay for it. I don't base my moral compass on what's legal or not. I actually think stealing the UCI private key was probably a much cooler hack than what was presented and would rather see a talk from the person who did it, than a snitch.
