Summary: “Researchers showed that a severe drop in NAD+—a core energy molecule—drives Alzheimer’s pathology in both human brains and mouse models.Restoring proper NAD+ balance with the drug P7C3-A20 not only prevented disease in at-risk mice but also reversed advanced pathology, repairing brain damage and fully restoring cognitive function.” #medicinehttps://neurosciencenews.com/alzheimers-reversed-neuropharmacology-30070/

@lardmotel So does that mean the TL;DR is “more nads needed to cure Alzheimer’s”?

@blurk assuming you’re not making a gonads joke … no it has to be maintained at a constant level… just popping pills is not going to work.

@lardmotel Alzheimers breakthroughs are like cold fusion. Fingers crossed but I’ll believe it when it actually happens (in humans).

@0mnishambles Yeah I'm not listing this as a win, but it tends to good news in that somebody is working away at it and has discovered a pathway that might get a little closer.Meanwhile the SMH says eat more eggs to reduce Alzheimer's. Shrug. OK.
