       Since 9-11 we have had some combat style forces deployed in high traffic areas like Grand Central Times Square & major subway stations but most of the uniforms are the old boys in blue plus we have lots of undercover. When there are NYPD media events like the removal of Gaza protesters at Columbia they are all decked out in combat ready gear for the confrontation but as a rule the SWAT Team look is a minor presence it's not like we are under full scale occupation.
