       Think of all the guilt and shame a person gets targeted with when “ruining a Santa Claus belief“ in a child.  How about the strategies parents use ( yes, I used this🤣) to keep the belief going a bit longer; If you don’t believe, then Santa Claus won’t visit you, like he doesn’t visit the kid who told you there is no such person as Santa Claus.

       My youngest just had his last Christmas believing😌. I threatened to send a toy back to Santa recently. He took great delight in revealing his discovery of the truth, telling me I’d have to take it back to the shop instead. If only more adults could delight in discovering the truth!
