       So. Since pennies are out of circulation does that make my father in law's big water cooler jugs of pennies "coin hoards" in the archeological sense?People think coin hoards are strange, but I bet you know someone with one right now.

       @futurebird It's been out of circulations since 2012 for Canadians, and my friends still have large penny cans/jars. Unlikely to be valuable for quite some time.

       @futurebird i have a sorted collection, but also many little hoards of coins i've found and didn't feel like putting into a sleeve thing and labelling.

       @futurebird my parents received 2 jars full of gold-painted nickels for their wedding and they’ve been sitting in their coat closet for the last 45 years. Absolutely a coin hoard

       @futurebird It's me, I have a huge jar (gallon glass jug) of pennies and a dish of loose change that I fill up and take to the bank for cash when it gets over about $10.
