I love mesh networks, and love the 1999 WAP standard. After I started thinkering with MeshCore I realised text is fun but what about the internet? WAP 1.x was built to be sent over SMS... this might work. Taking my WAP-over-SMS project and two ESP32s and voila!WAP internet (all you actually need) over a fully decentralized network!

Why not HTML? You see HTTP and HTML are bulky protocols. WML in WAP 1.x was send as a compile WMLC. This takes a webpage from 600 bytes (formatted) to 450 (minimised) to 200 bytes compiled! Saving many messages by only sending the essential. Even headers are binary encoded to save space. Exactly what was needed to make WAP work over early GSM is what we need to make it work over LoRa
