@zkat I'm sure there is some good use case for LLMs somewhere in FOSS, I just can't think of any.

@anubis2814 @zkat Commit messages.Even LLMs do a better job than all those devs who just put "fix some weird bug", "refactor stuff" and "cosmetic changes"...In source code LLMs are illegal to use, unless the LLM was only trained with WTFPL software maybe.

@zkat What counts? If you scan GitHub et al for the existence of AGENT.md and variants, LLM-based review bots and workflows (which, uh, kinda includes dependabot at this point), the list is extremely long.

@larsmb @zkat Damn, I use Dependabot and would like to keep it.However from what I understand the only LLM output is the PR description. Does an alternative exist? It is still wasting power with a LLM feature I do not even care about after all, so just ignoring the Dependabot PRs and updating dependencies manually will not make anything better.

@erindesu @AliveDevil @beeb @zkat What happens if a repo contains the file but it is a symlink to /dev/urandom?
