Hi, everyone. I've just published version 2.87 of #snac, the simple, minimalistic #ActivityPub instance server written in C. It only includes a single change, to avoid using EmojiReacts to harass users:Hide EmojiReacts from muted actors and blocked instances.Sorry for the inconvenience. Bad people creativity always gets me off-guard. Upgrade your snac to this version ASAP, or revert to 2.85.There will be another release pretty soon with a better solution to delete offending EmojiReacts.https://comam.es/what-is-snac#snacAnnounces #FrugalFediverse

@grunfink So I mention their profile @yunohost - take a look at this Snac activitypub platform; it may be an interesting addition to your app list

@grunfink hey, I tried snac out for a while, given it is minimalist it is amazing that I could run it in a pico zero 2 w raspberry. But for actually using it, I ran into some usage problems, specially when replying to posts on it's web interface. What is the proper intended usage of it? Do you generally use it's web interface?

I just use the web interface (I'm doing it right now). I only use Mastodon clients for testing. What kind of usage problems are you finding while replying?

Groovy!I submitted a Pull Request to update MacPorts' snac to 2.87 here:https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/pull/30679It's churning through GitHub Continuous Integration checks (1 of 3 passed so far which is a good sign the other two will complete successfully). It's up to someone else with commit access to merge it.p.s. the other day I read your napcop proposal and I dig the acronym. ;)#snac #MacPorts #OpenSource #ActivityPub #Mastodon #NoDatabaseNeeded#NoJavaScript #NoCookiesEither #NotMuchBullShit #snacAnnounces #FrugalFediverse

@grunfink when I used it I noticed that I needed to manually copy the post to reply to it. Was I just misusing it or is it intended behavior? Having to copy the link to a post to reply to it in another window was kinda too much movement for me. But if it is inteded behavior I get it

No, that's not necessary (though possible). Just below each post, you'll find a dropdown labelled ‣ Reply... ; click on it, and a new dialog will appear, with a textbox to write your reply, set the visibility, language, etc. Then click on Post to send it.
