Stop using amazon. Take the ebay-pill.You'll find more things you actually want/need on ebay.Not only for a better price, but you are more directly supporting an individual or small business than if you bought it on amazon.Most of my online purchases are on ebay. I buy mainly camera stuff and car parts. Amazon is mostly fucking garbage. There's hidden/deceptive fees, a monthly subscription.None of that on ebay and you can talk directly to the seller. fuck amazon

I lock my card when I am not using it, you cannot do this when you purchase something on amazon. Ebay charges your card as soon as you press the order button. I've had amazon not try to charge me until 3 days after I pressed the order button. This caused the order to be further delayed because it was declined due to my locked card. Why the fuck do they do this?I ended up driving 30 minutes to a best buy and just buying the GPU for cheaper than amazon.

@creamqueen I agree. I've bought several things off ebay recently and had a great experience. I hadn't used ebay in years, but I will definitely be using it more going forward.

@Kerosene yea thats actually often the case, but at least you can find the thing youre looking for. I can't find car parts (that I actually need) or camera stuff on amazon.Pretty much everything I buy on ebay is used.

@Kerosene however, I noticed that, especially for camera stuff, a lot of the sellers will actually cut the price of the item to match domestic prices with shipping included.My olympus camera was $179 coming from japan for $40. I payed a little bit more than what id find in america, but I got an amazing camera in beautiful condition and I know the japanese wouldn't fuck me on it

@bronze yea you get next day shipping with Amazon. You could give me a $500 amazon gift card right now and I wouldn't know how to spend it. There's nothing on that website I want. Ebay on the other hand I can think of a hundred things id buy with that. Amazon is just garbage products and the only thing id order on there is stuff I can get at a physical store.

@waltercool usually when I place the rare amazon order, they give me a free prime trial so I get free shipping anyway. As soon as I order I go and cancel it (convoluted btw, takes like 12 clicks to do)

@creamqueen That too! If Amazon gives you free trial. Redeem, buy what you need and cancel subscription.During that period, maximize all those items mentioned above. Every time I get the Prime subscription for specific reasons, I get like 9USD credits, which is enough to buy some music album for free.

Yes. If it's tech or something specific, I always go to ebay. And if it's Made in China, I like Temu better because they effectively give me 60 - 70% cashback everytime on already super cheap prices.

I got a reman turbo cartridge for $200, an interior switch for $40.But then I get shit like this. I NEED this part.I cant find it used on Facebook marketplace or ebay. I have to drive upwards of 100 miles to go to a junkyard and pray they have one that isnt broken.

If I just pull it myself and say yea it's just a speed sensor they'll give it to me for $20. Last junkyard i went to every rear axle was taken out of every car I needed it from. Cant get lucky sometimes
