@Dagnar @VikingWays @matty wouldn't it be better to blame discord/instant messaging.It's so easy to do that on any form of instant messaging.It's very easy to just mash the enter key after every word.Meanwhile on the fediverse I find myself putting in a lot more thought on posting in general.

well, consider the origins. Second Life is Tumblr RP, and as such every special snowflake has a story they want to tell. They want to get it out and thus posted before anyone can start "derailing" the RP towards their own ends. This created an environment where people where typing as fast as they could, and tossing in [enter] after every line or word ensures they still have the floor.
