       A few days ago, I mentioned that the tiny Daihatsu Copen sports car was originally developed to meet Japan’s kei-car regulations but fitted with a larger engine for export. I suspect this boxy practical little Hijet (thank you Google reverse image search) is more typical of Daihatsu’s kei-car output.        @davidwilkins that was also the case for hijet itself. it was fitted with a 1000cc engine in southeast asia since like 80s (also with longer wheelbase that would not meet kei car regulations in home country)
