       I just watched Cory Doctorow's speech at 39C3.It was passionate, complex, insightful, scary, yet hopeful. I'm a little irked at the massive run-on sentences that require rewinding to understand, but the frustration and dedication come through in spades. I learned a lot about the power Seattle and Silicon Valley have over governments. And the authoritarian initiatives use this to great affect.I'm off American tech, I am using open source/FOSS-based OSs and programs, I donate to all the indies I use, yet it doesn't feel like enough. Brilliant. Thought-provoking. Enraging.        @book @pluralistic The CCC does a fantastic job of hosting this info on their own site without all of the unnecessary yucky shite that Youtube does to it's users. Many people would benefit from you linking there instead of youtube.
