       @hazlin the narrative they spun about the attacks on iran was mostly false. iran was keeping jets out of their air space pretty well, which is why the attacks were almost completely ineffective, whilst costing a tremendous amount of resources (air frame time, fuel). israel wasn't able to operate manned aircraft in iranian air space, they were forced to just lob glide bombs from iraqi air space and send in drones and stuffthey couldn't stop the B2 strike (which was probably coordinated with iran anyway, as a face saving thing for both sides) but it didn't matter because the B2 couldn't blow up their stuff anyway. that whole thing was a total joke

       @hazlin well, iran isn't like most of the middle east. it's full of persians, not arabs. they're much smarter and more competent, and they've had to deal with major threats for decades, which keeps them on their toessouth american militaries are corrupt and the macho factor is a big problem. better to look scary than actually be capable, sort of thing

       @gav @hazlin iran's big problem is they think there's a reasonable path to being friends with the west. they want to be acceptedbut obviously, as long as the west is ruled by jewish interests that's impossible
