       Six years ago today, I gathered with friends old and new in the hills above Downtown Los Angeles.  My friend is an amazing host. There was a live band, oysters and champagne.  We danced and danced.  My son and his girlfriend came.  At midnight, my son's girlfriend, told us about a tradition of writing your wishes on a piece of paper, lighting it on fire and putting a little of the ashes in your champagne.  It was beautiful.  None of us knew, that within a month, everything would change. It may seem like hyperbole, and perhaps it is, but I think of that night as "The Last Good Time."
