I don’t like AI search results, because half the time I’m searching for something I’m slightly embarrassed about having searched for. And now I’m also meta-embarrassed about feeling embarrassed that the AI knows I searched for it, even though I know intellectually that the AI doesn’t “know” I searched for it (or have an opinion about it) any more than AltaVista did 25 years ago.

@maxleibman I have once gained a correct result from it - a result that it pulled directly from the article that would have been the first thing I'd seen had it not showed up and shoved itself in my face.I read the article anyway, only thus verifying the correctness of the result.

@ozzelot Yeah, I really don't get the meaning of AI search. If I wanted something that *might* be correct, I would just mansplain it myself, no AI needed for that.
