HOW to teach #picaTheCat that she CAN'T sit on my lap until I'm done sitting down???The lap doesn't exist until the human is sitting?? She tries to get on my lap *as* I'm trying to sit and it's just... it's chaos. And then she's upset and I'm in a bad position because she didn't let me fix my legs and now I can't move... this is a catastrophe.

@futurebird id suggest placing the cat in a corner and trying a running jump for the bed, smoothing the blankets with the downwash of turbulence as you soar through the air towards your most critical landing. If done correctly you should have enough time to even welcome kitty with open arms .

@gloriouscow OK but #picaTheCat says that if there is food in the lap that is an "automatic benefit" and "possible new resource to be mined" and she thinks he's being very logical.

@futurebird Oy is a climber, so he just clings to whatever surface until the lap manifests. It's less comfortable on my end. We've only had him a few days, I'm still hoping to win this discussion.
