@AlabasterBrick That sucks, must admit I never did mind working Christmas or any holiday so long as it was worth it. I hope you were being appropriately compensated with double pay or time off in lieu or the like.

@AlabasterBrick A friend of mine works in the care sector and was contractually obligated to work yesterday for regular pay. Important work for sure but I don't know if I could have done that and missed out on most of Christmas with my kids.

@AlabasterBrick I think the kids did that in the morning before she went to work but the kids were at the big family Christmas meal with us for the lion's share of the day. Just sad for anyone to miss out on those special days whilst the kids are still young, they grow so fast.
