My little Christmas Tree is up, as is my stocking from when I was just 10 years old. That's my original stocking from 50 years ago.

In my childhood it was a heldover tradition from the 19th century. Back when what fit in the stocking was the totality of your presents.

@AryanSwastika @FreedomFighterVictor I remember when i was 7, we were California for Christmas for the first time, times were tough, and Christmas was slim, but, when we took the tree to the dump on the 2nd, we kind of hit the jackpot.. got a c128, 2 c64s , drives, couple of monitors, coleco vision, games, toys, came home with more than we brought, rich people throwin out tons of perfectly good stuff.. most of it worked, the rest we repaired what we could, learned a lot.. but yeah, i really do think of the dump when I think of Christmas, guess ya can't just go scavenge most places anymore, weird considering how much they push the idea of recycling...
