The legislative package included a bill, introduced by Rep #MarjorieTaylorGreen (R-GA) that makes it a #crime to provide #GenderAffirmingCare to #transgender minors, punishable by a fine or #prison time of up to 10 years. It passed on Wednesday.Another bill, introduced by Rep #DanCrenshaw (R-TX) would prohibit #Medicaid reimbursement for gender-affirming care for youth. It is scheduled for a vote Thursday. @Nonilex Can someone explain why the far right has got such a bee in its bonnet over the trans issue? Surely it’s nothing more than a form of malformation which, if possible, can be remedied. People in this situation require support not persecution from those who have no idea what they are talking about, or am I being naïve? Why is this even a political issue? #TransRights #humanrights
