       @flux_the_cat Well, this was the early days of the hard stratification, after executive salaries completely decoupled from workers in the 70s and the re-serffifacation  really took hold... the drive from abundance to slavery even starting to effect the upper class as well as the normal people like Cousin Eddy and his family.. presented for comparison to scare the newly comfortable back into compliance.. of course... I dearly love those films, wish i could watch them with the naive eyes of a child again and genuinely laugh instead of it being a bitter chuckle to hide the screams of rage at what they have taken from us..
