The EU's public consultation on the proposed Digital Fairness Act showed 86% of respondents support consumers having more control over personalised advertising. 77% said personalised pricing based on surveillance/ profiling should be restricted. You'll be startled to learn that business associations and large companies "show low support". https://cdn.table.media/assets/europe/public_consultation_on_the_digital_fairness_act_factual_summary_report.pdf

75% of consumers said "coshing people over the head and running off with their money should be illegal". The European Society of Coshers, the International Mugging Association, large Cosh manufacturers and the Federation of Utter Bastards showed low support.
