Related to this I’m reading The Age of Entitlement right now It’s interesting that a majority of Americans in the 60s were never interested in Civil Rights, and an even stronger majority thought the government had no right legislating and enforcing it

Gotta love those 2A guys that bang on about government overreach but fail to recognize America rolled over completely when they sent in the troops to force the unpopular integration.

And America did what? Stuck its hands in its pockets and shrugged off into submission. No fighting spirit, no grabbing the guns, nothing the 2A guys stroke their schlongs over. Just passivity to authority. Once they figured they could do that, they knew they could do anything and America would take it like a bitch.

I know I often wonder why My best guess was that after two world wars and major economic hardships sandwiched in between the two generations of adults at the time were just tired of fighting They got a taste of the good life and said “fuggit, I’m not fighting anymore“ Stir in the hatred of “enlightened” damn yankees toward those hick southerners and you’ve got yourself a helluva mess

@Dagnar @jb things are certainly different, this was pre immigration reform which flooded us with shit skins, the guy in this picture was being coerced at gun point by a gov he thought was on his side, and we have the benefit of hindsight so things are indeed differentthere's also several things to remember about what 2a backs, it backs the frame work in the constitution that sets out reasons why a state can leave the unionso a bunch of dudes raising a militia, no matter how just their cause, is going nowhere without an oligarchy to fund them during the action and organize afterward and to create a state, that being the whole point, having arms to secure a state outside the federal occupationalso yell at boomers who didn't go kill these zog bot faggots in their homes for pointing their guns at civilians, what do you want us to do about it? my time machine isn't complete

See, there's a thing with that. It was unpopular even in the Yankee regions. No one wanted niggers among them, and niggers didn't want to be among us. The whole country was easily 85% against integration. We had forced integration in Boston and many other places up here. The whole country should have had an uprising, and there was enough firepower to scare off any National Guard and any politician stupid enough to try again. We can look to WW2, before Pearl Harbor, and see again mass unpopularity with joining the war, some 90%. Woodrow Wilson won re-election on the promise to keep us out of WW1. Honestly, that might be the starting point, when popular opinion was overridden by the government in 1917. We're not talking regions here, because the whole country felt this way, and went along with it.For me, it's hard to point at any specific point where America cucked out, but integration was probably the final breaking point. Everything after that was hopeful voting.

@Dagnar @jb oh i knowand i'm not arguing that the population rolled overbut lest also not forget that these people are on their way out, its not their country anymoreand if we hang onto their ghosts and carry bricks for them, we'll never get anywherethe best thing we can do is take this image, burn it into our minds and use it as hate for everything their bullshit paradigm stood for, and wreck it all without mercy or nostalgia for their good ol days. we aren't afforded their luxuries so we have no reason to respect their paradigm or their desires as they go out, they failed usso our goal is to not fail our children the same way, in whatever small way that is

We are at war, although few recognize it. It is a guerilla war now, as our predecessors abandoned their authority.

@Dagnar @jb it is pretty amazing to me that there are so few people who realize that history has continued, there wasn't some kumbaya bullshit where everyone agreed things were settledits like ww2 was the end of the book for so many and they're all still living in some post war fantasy that's been gone for 50 yearssimply from a theological stand point most people in the west have all sorts of enemies that they openly think are their friends, no dip shits, jews killed Christ and muslims are an invasive species of locusts that have to be beaten back every few centuriesmeanwhile harmless retards that think they're in some position of power lecture us about racism and climate changelol>muh democracy, but only honor the opinions of the minority who aren't in power and dont have a mandatethe weak need to be put in their fucking place

@jb I dont think any leftist movement has had any popular support. California voted to strip benefits from illegal aliens in the 90's. Which wss considered impossible. The hard hat riots. Support for the anti war movement was non existent.

@Escoffier Ending the movie production code and loosening up TV standards and practices were the only movements associated with cultural liberalism that were really popular. In economics normies like stealing from the successful so they can have free stuff.
