       @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @Terry life expectancy was dragged down by infant mortality. if you lived to be about 15 or so, you were probably going to live into your 60sthe average age of first marriage in the middle ages was a lot higher than people think, like 23 or something IIRC. the only time people were getting married super young was if it was a political marriage, and any sexual relations would've been delayed until an appropriate age
