       Humans are messy and complex. Despite this, I believe that all humans deserve respect and compassion.Empathy helps us connect to others through our shared humanity. Maintaining healthy boundaries and a strong sense of our own values helps protect us.I think it is a great tragedy of our culture that people are seen to be immutable and through a reductionist lens. We are messy and complex.
