@creohn actually, we spell it "kurva" and I don't think it is most used.

@Cara @creohn @stepan yes, there are many, amd while kurva is among them, it is not spelled kurwa and neither so in Slovak

@Cara @creohn @xChaos i don't think "prdel" is more used than "kurva". lot of people just say "kurva" even when something small happens to them (like if they drop something), while "do prdele" is usually used when something worse happens (like spilling coffee over your papers). at least that's my experience. i wouldn't count "sakra" as a swear word, end i'm not sure it's more common than "kurva" anyways. it's used it the more "intellectual" part of society, or older people, and also doesn't have that many uses. you can also use "kurva" as a direct insult, or as a sort of quantifier (idk if that's the correct word, but something like "kurva blbý" or "kurva rychle")

@ozzelot@mstdn.social @prahou@merveilles.town @xChaos@f.cz @Cara@miruku.cafe @creohn@chaos.social @stepan@f.czfor that specificallyFor this specifically we used to have an analogue thing called swear jar 😏So if someone swears a lot in the office sooner or later they have to invite their colleagues to the nearest tavern for them all to swear together for fun in a less formal environment 😂

@ozzelot@mstdn.social @prahou@merveilles.town @xChaos@f.cz @Cara@miruku.cafe @creohn@chaos.social @stepan@f.czI used to work in QA department, in automated testing branch, and this was before web software development became a thing — you can extrapolate the amounts of nerdiness, cringe, and overall social awkwardness — unprecedented levels amplified x10.And we had ladies working on the team — looking back on it, I can't imagine how they were getting through these endless days of swearing and coarse, absolutely bizarre humour — even local sausage jokes pale in comparison 🤣

@m0xEEI'm a general sorta helpdesky thing (I keep the organisation's PCs and printers and stuff going but I've also got permissions to minorly poke around some servers and network elements - which I wield sparingly and carefully as this is a new job and I need others to teach me still) - and the lady in our office is perhaps the one who swears the most of us all. :D@prahou @xChaos @Cara @creohn @stepan

@m0xEEI was in manual QA for a while. The job got old quickly and the company was rather mismanaged ("it paid on time" is the most positive thing I got to say about the mess), so I sought my luck elsewhere. So far, what I have now seems better. (Though I'm sure I will long for the days of being an unemployed hermit at least sometimes.)@prahou @xChaos @Cara @creohn @stepan
